Core Research Projects
PHMSA partners with research entities to develop near solutions
focused on knowledge development and technology solution to improve
pipeline safety. All research topics require resource sharing. For
research topics developing technology, the mandatory minimum cost
share is 50% from non-federal sources. For research topics
developing knowledge, the mandatory minimum cost share is 20% from
non-federal sources. Research topics address key PHMSA Priorities
derived from Public Meetings and Research Forums held regularly.
