Olympic Pipeline Co performed research for the purpose of developing and implementing a pilot program to design, install, test, evaluate and report monitoring of slope stability indicators and strain guage readings on sites limited to Western Washington State. The objective of the research is to establish apilot program for monitoring underground pipeline stresses due to soil movement. Additionally, the goal of the research was to test, evaluate and report on technologies and methodologies for in-situ strain evaluation of buried and/or subsurface pipelines and related site hydrology parameters.
