Main Objective
The project objective is to design and develop a PHMSA Program for Pipeline Safety Research Projects at the Transportation Technology Center. The project is currently outlined into two (2) Technical Tasks:
Technical Task 1 – Conceptional and Detailed Design Technical Task 2 – Development/Commissioning
Public Abstract
The U.S. Department of Transportation's Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) is initiating work for engineering, design, and development of PHMSA research, development, and testing (RDT) Programs at the Transportation Technology Center (TTC) in Pueblo, Colorado. The proposed RDT Program will support new technology development and advance stakeholder knowledge in threat/damage prevention, anomaly detection/ characterization, liquefied natural gas, materials capabilities, construction practices, geo-hazard analysis, corrosion protection, operations of distribution and transmission pipelines, and remote sensing/leak detection [1].
UniversalPegasus International (UPI) will work with Transportation Technology Center, Inc. at the TTC. The engineering services, abilities, expertise, and capabilities UPI will provide include:
- Planning and Research of pipeline technology
- Engineering design drawings and material plans
- Manage development of RDT Programs.
- Project Execution Planning
- Design and Development scheduling and cost estimating
- Operation planning estimates
- Staffing planning estimates
[[[[1] NOTE: The RDT Program described herein are comprised of non-permanent testing assemblies necessary to conduct research, development and testing, and will be within the scope of 41 U.S.C. § 6303.]]]
