Main Objective

This Phase I Small Business Innovative Research project will address risk from both isolated and cascading hazards (e.g., earthquake followed by landslide), support economic analysis of proposed mitigation to reduce risk at both the asset management level and project level, and, outline the requirements for a data collection tool to close the gap on pipeline asset inventory and natural hazards.

Summary and Conclusions

The project developed a concept of operations (CONOPS) for developing a Quantitative Risk Assessment tool for pipelines and geohazard and developed a marketing and outreach plan to foster public and private interest in a QRA tool for pipelines and geohazards.
