Main Objective
Puerto Rico was unable to use any of the funds awarded
Under this grant agreement, the recipient will: Purchase an in-house (dedicated) server and develop a mobile application for the Excavation Center to promote effective excavation stakeholder communications. Most locate requests are submitted online and the Excavation Center currently shares a server with limited Internet access. Having a dedicated server to locate tickets will help to improve pipeline safety. (Element 1)
Public Abstract
Under the terms of this grant agreement, the Recipient will address the following applicable elements listed in the approved application, pursuant to 49 U.S.C. §60134 (a), (b).
Element 1 (Effective Communications): Participation by operators, excavators, and other stakeholders in developing and implementing methods for establishing and maintaining effective communications between stakeholders—from receipt of an excavation notification to successful completion of the excavation, as appropriate.
