Main Objective
Under this grant award N Cntrl Florida Regional Hazardous Materials Response Team, will increase Regional Natural Gas Pipeline Safety in Florida.
Public Abstract
Under the terms of this agreement, the Recipient must demonstrate completion of the work through the actions it has specified in its Application.
- One Table top Exercise with new Sabal Trail Pipeline/Compressor Station to increase coordination between pipeline operators and emergency responders.
- N Cntrl Florida Regional Hazardous Materials Response Team will work with Local Emergency Planning Committee to helpo educate the public on emergency procedures through press releases.
- N Cntrl Florida Regional Hazardous Materials Response Team will host three Functional Excercises with Florida Gas Transmission Compressor Stations to strengthen preparedness and coordination between responders, emergency management and pipeline operators.
- N Cntrl Florida Regional Hazardous Materials Response Team will purchase two gas detectors for all twelve counties to strengthen gas leak detection services.
