Main Objective
Under this grant award Barataria-Terrebonne Estuary Foundation will target educational efforts for pipeline oil spill, gas release and accident prevention.
Public Abstract
Under the terms of this agreement, the Recipient must demonstrate completion of the work through the actions it has specified in its Application.
- Bridge the gap between on-land and marine pipeline damage prevention initiatives.
- Consider cost of prevention versus cost of an incident.
- Provide awareness, education and ownership with external stakeholders as a key ingredient to spill and accident prevention.
- Raise the bar in new areas of coastal and marine pipeline damage prevention.
