Main Objective

Under this grant award Alamo Improvement Association will fund First Responder Training for pipeline emergencies approved by the National Association of State Fire Marshals for gas sensing units and fire response equipment. Provide public workshops on pipeline safety to include an update on a previous pipeline safety reports. Enhance the Alamo Improvement Association website for greater mobile devices, social media use, promote Call 811 Before You Dig and the CERT Program.

Public Abstract

Under the terms of this agreement, the Recipient must demonstrate completion of the work through actions it has specified in its Application.

  • Provide a more education for the protection of people, the environment, ensure better representation in official proceedings and address the need for residents.
  • Provide First Responders training for Pipeline Emergencies.
  • Provide Pipelines Emergency Education and Training offered by the National Association of State Fire Marshals for the local firefighters and Sheriff's Deputies.
  • Alamo Improvement Association, Inc., will recruit regulatory and industry advisors, the general public and recruit for a series of community meetings on the subject of Pipeline Safety.
  • Alamo Improvement Association, Inc., will develop a new public section of its website that pertains to pipeline safety for information on local events, fact finding and official proceedings.
  • Alamo Improvement Association, Inc., will increase awareness of "811-Call Before Your Dig" programs within the community through a companion series of notices and announcements in local newspapers and on website.
