Main Objective
Under this grant award Oak Ridge Utility District will develop a system whereby it can notify its customers of safety related issues via email or mobile devices. Current customer contact information is primarily in the form of standard landline and mobile telephone numbers. In order to develop such a system. Oak Ridge Utility District will implement strategies to collect and store email addresses and mobile contacts and to verify any current data. Oak Ridge Utility District will contract with e-business and Customer Information System (CIS) provider to help accomplish this task.
Public Abstract
Under the terms of this agreement. the Recipient must demonstrate completion of the work through the actions it has specified in its Application.
- Contract with e-biz vendor to revise Website to promote and allow the collection of digital contact information.
- Contract with current CIS Software vendor to perform customization which will interface with e-biz to pull data into current IS along with methodology to export for use.
- Develop marketing campaign to customer base to solicit participation.
- Contract with third party consultant to establish bulk email service with results reporting.
- Contract with GIS vendor to add contact information to our currently under development outage management system, developing the ability to generate robocalls and digital email and/or mobile contact notification.
- Testing and implementation through coordination with each vendor.
