Main Objective

Under this grant award City of West Liberty will leverage advances in technologies and research capabilities in support of mitigating emergency response, improved data collection analysis and inter-departmental collaboration and discussion. The City of West Liberty will also purchase remote methane leak detection equipment and upgrade the existing Geographic Information System mapping software to improve leak detection, pipeline analysis, and emergency response effectiveness.

Public Abstract

Under the terms of this agreement, the Recipient must demonstrate completion of the work through the actions it has specified in its Application.

  • Purchase of ( I) RMLD (Remote Methane Leak Detector) with one day of certified training on the use equipment tar 4 employees by the manufacntrer.
  • Leverage up-to-date leak detection equipment to gain the skills required to effectively use this new technology in a one day training.
  • Purchase new mapping software, additional extensions, and maintenance package.
  • Provide the GIS/ Mapping department of City of West Liberty with the latest technology by acquiring the newest tools in pipe data analysis, infrastructure numagement and risk assessment.
