Main Objective
ORUD will purchase three remote methane leak detectors (RMLD)
Public Abstract
Upon completion of the work ORUD will:
- Purchase three remote methane lead detectors (RMLD);
- Improve performance and pipeline safety by replacing outdated technology used in leak detection (Flame Pak) with the ground-breaking technology of the RMLD;
- Increase ORUD efficiency and effectiveness in locating pipeline leaks;
- Train the operators on how to effectively us the RMLD;
- Review the leak detection response procedures so that leaks can be proactively resolved quickly and appropriately to insure the safety of the public and enfironment in our community; and,
- Implement a Community Awareness Educational program on leak detection.
