Main Objective

The UNCC will:

  1. Foster support and partnership with stakeholders
  2. Support a Damage Prevention Education Program for industry stakeholders
  3. Support Public Awareness and Stakeholder Education
  4. Foster and promote the use of Improving Technologies
  5. Review teh Effectiveness of Damage Prevention Programs

Public Abstract

ELEMENT 2 - COMPREHENSIVE STAKEHOLDER SUPPORT: The focus this year is to provide financial support for the two DPAT information and coordinating meetings (meeting rooms for 60-75 stakeholders) and to acknowledge the achievements of stakeholders over the past year with awards. We will also start one additional DPC in 2011. ELEMENT 4 - EFFECTIVE EMPLOYEE TRAINING: Colorado will collaboratively develop and deliver a One-Call and Dig Safely stakeholder education program. ELEMENT 5 - PUBLIC EDUCATION: The DPAT and the 14 DPCs will design and sponsor 811 public awareness and stakeholder education programs to increase awareness of the legal requirement to request locates prior to excavation. ELEMENT 8 - TECHNOLOGY: Additional modules must now be developed to include: 1) Stakeholder testing and certification module (see Element-4) 2) DPC funding request and approval (see Element-9) ELEMENT 9 - DAMAGE PREVENTION PROGRAM REVIEW: 1) Administer the 2011 PHMSA Grant This function is supported by the Forum Facilitator. 2) Develop a DP program request and funding module for the DP Portal.
