MUWV will:

  1. Support Public Awareness and Stakeholder Education
  2. Laws and regulations of the damage prevention process

Public Abstract

ELEMENT 5 - PUBLIC EDUCATION: Funds will be used for telephone surveys which will direct a vigorous campaign of Radio, Television, Newspaper, Billboard, Bill Inserts and Telephone activities directed to strengthen weak areas targeted by the surveys. This exposure will greatly enhance an awareness of the underground dangers throughout the rural areas of West Virginia. ELEMENT 7 - ENFORCEMENT: MUWV will develop, prepare and deliver a program to state, county and local law enforcement agencies a comprehensive program on the potential risks of pipeline damage and how they can administer penalties concurrent to West Virginia's One-Call Law.
