Main Objective
The Southeast Alabama Gas District will collect GIS data of critical appurtenances to develop a pipeline isolation plan in the event of an emergency.
Public Abstract
The Southeast Alabama Gas District will:
- Improve natural gas pipeline safety by making systematic improvements in reporting and recording of cathodic protection information;
- Deploy a geographical information system(GIS) for pipeline safety information;
- Implement other systematic tools for analyzing and enhancing safety for the communities Southeast Alabama Gas District serves; and,
- Share Southeast Alabama Gas District's improved reports with other gas pipeline operators, public works, city, county, and state officials to enhance safe community service.
