The chapters of this publication will include: (1) a primer on pipelines; (2) damage prevention activities by landowners and pipeline owners; (3) pipeline integrity concerns that landowners can detect, and how to respond to and report them; (4) the legal rights and responsibilities of landowners, pipeline owners, local government, and regulators; and (5) other resources available to help pipeline landowners take steps to ensure the safety of the pipelines running through or abutting their property.
