Main Objective

Pipeline Safety Trust will develop a resource guide for citizens near exiting and proposed pipelines.

Public Abstract

Development of a publication that will include five (5) chapters. These chapters will give citizens the information they need in preventing and detecting damage to pipelines that are routed through or near their lands. The chapters of this publication will include: (1) a primer on pipelines; (2) damage prevention activities by landowners and pipeline owners; (3) pipeline integrity concerns that landowners can detect, and how to respond to and report them; (4) the legal rights and responsibilities of landowners, pipeline owners, local government, and regulators; and (5) other resources available to help pipeline landowners take steps to ensure the safety of the pipelines running through or abutting their property.
