Main Objective

Development of a test kit for hazardous liquid pipelines which can detect when microbial growth could lead to corrosion and be able to determine the efficacy of suggested biocide or chemical treatments.

Public Abstract

Update the current Corrolytics test kit and evaluate its ability to determine biocide efficacy for samples collected from oil and gas pipelines. Updating the test kit to determine biocide efficacy will enable operators tosuccessfully select mitigation strategies to prevent damage to their assets, increase safety, and reduce biocide and chemical treatments in their oil and gas operations.
