Consent Orders Issued

Nationwide

This report lists all of the Consent Orders issued in a given year, beginning in 2002. The yearly tables include the date the Consent Order was opened, the name of the operator involved, the PHMSA Region initiating the enforcement action(s), the corresponding date on which the case was issued (when applicable), the current status of the case, and the PHMSA case number. In some cases, PHMSA and the operator will agree to a Consent Order in lieu of issuing a Compliance Order to resolve a case. In a Consent Order, the operator agrees to the jurisdictional facts of the case and agrees to implement the specific actions in the Consent Order by the required deadlines. Should the operator not comply with the Consent Order terms, PHMSA can write violations against the Consent Order terms. Consent Orders are described in 49 CFR 190.219.
