FAQ-12: Lines Transporting both Gas and Liquids

Question: If a pipeline transports both gas and liquids (e.g., some off shore lines), does the hazardous liquid integrity management rule or the gas integrity management rule apply?

Answer: Lines that transport both liquids and gas must meet requirements applicable to both. In practice, this means that the more stringent requirements must be met.
